Lillie M. Seigle
Personal Information

I am a senior at Cornell University's College of Engineering. I expect to graduate in May of 2020 with a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science and a minor in Horticulture.

My goal is to find somewhere I can use my knowledge of computer science and my problem solving ability to create something new or improve upon something in exciting ways. I would love to be able to use my creativity to augment my technical skills wherever I end up.

Etail Solutions
Summer 2017 - Spring 2020

I conducted sales channel integrations for Etail by developing programs to organize client data so that it was capable of operating within existing company software. The software was modified so that it could communicate using REST APIs.

Additionally, I created an integration with Microsoft SharePoint. These user friendly web applications were located on customized client pages and displayed data gathered through SQL.

To accomodate changes in marketplace retailer's software, I revised corporate software and developed tools to convert XSD definitions into XSLT files to transform and utilize client data.

In order to create a user friendly portal for clients to access and sort data for easier use, I developed ASP.NET MVC applications with individual user preference settings and storage.

When clients were located a reasonable distance away, I would attend client visits to discuss possible changes and assess current implementations, as well as receive tours of their facilities and learn about their operations.

October 2018

I sat in on project meetings and was presented information about current and potential new projects.

In addition, I met with several different employees one-on-one to learn about different aspects of the company and to discuss their roles and responsibilities and what skills are required for their jobs.

Leadership and Involvement
Beekeeping Club at Cornell
Fall 2017 - Spring 2018
Vice President

I organized biweekly meetings for around fifty people and communicated information to existing and potential members through marketing channels including emailing, tabling, and club presentations.

I also ran social media accounts and general marketing including apparel orders and advertisements.

Additionally, I supervised and assisted with hive inspections weekly and honey extractions several times per year.

Orientation Steering Committee
Fall 2017
Orientation Leader

I received daily training on the orientation of incoming students to ease their transition into higher education and help them to understand the resources available to them on Cornell’s campus.

Over the course of a few weeks, I introduced a group of ten new engineering students to Cornell through information sessions and tours.
